Starting Saturday, July 17, the second step of the Government of Manitoba’s 4-3-2-1 Great Summer re-opening plan will be in effect.
Here's what you can expect at Grant Park:
• Retail stores may operate at the same 50% capacity or 500 customers (whichever is lower). The mall is also limited to 50% capacity.
• Food vendors (including dine-in restaurants) may be open for indoor dining at 50% capacity and, where applicable, outdoor patio dining at 50% capacity.
- Patrons may sit together indoors at a table in a restaurant only if (a) they are all fully immunized; (b) they all reside in the same private residence, regardless of their immunization status; or (c) there is a combination of persons over and under 12 years of age at the table, but all persons over 12 years of age are fully immunized.
- Up to 8 patrons from different households may sit together at a table on outdoor patios, regardless of vaccination status.
- Proof of vaccination (Manitoba vaccination card or QR code) or proof that all members are from the same residence (personal ID) is required, depending on the situation.
• Personal care services (including hair salons and nail salons) may be open at 50% capacity. Appointments are not required.
• Gyms and fitness centres may operate at 50% capacity, with a minimum 3m of physical distance between patrons at all times.
• Landmark Cinemas are now open at 50% capacity, for fully vaccinated patrons and children under 12. Proof of vaccination (Manitoba vaccination card or QR code) is required.
As per public health orders, as of Monday, September 28, face masks/coverings are required in all indoor public spaces in the metropolitan Winnipeg area, including Grant Park. Safe Visiting Guidelines:
Mall Walking has been temporarily suspended until further notice. Thank you for your cooperation, we will make an announcement when it resumes.
Though the mall is reopening, this is not a return to normal. We ask that you support the following guidelines for your own safety and that of our community:
If you are sick DO NOT visit: Visitors are not allowed to enter if they are ill or have any COVID-19 symptoms. No people may gather in any common area. |
Limited points of entry: All entrances facing Grant Avenue are available. Rear entrances are corrently closed. | Line up: The mall and individual tenants will ask visitors to line up outside before entering and will enforce a one-in, one-out rule when at capacity. |
Follow all signage: Abide by all directional and guideline signage throughout the mall. | Use hand sanitizer and wash hands: Ensure you clean your hands regularly and properly. Hand sanitizer is available at entrances and exits and throughout the mall. |
Use cashless payment when possible: Cashless or no-contact payment should be used when possible. | Food service: Sitting or standing at counters is not allowed. No food or beverage may be consumed in public places. |

Steps We are Taking for Your Safety
Like all Canadians, we at Primaris are eager for a return to a more normal way of life. Though we look forward to getting back to business, the safety of our customers, tenants, employees, and the public is our priority.
As we reopen, we are following all guidelines from each province’s individual reopening plan, and we have put additional measures in place, including a Pandemic Response Plan and an internal best-practices guide called Working Towards a Safer Tomorrow, which outlines clear standards for all of our properties to uphold. We have also created a quick checklist for tenants to review as they get ready to reopen their stores. Our internal plans and standards guides are living documents. We will update them as necessary to ensure they remain current with recommendations from public health authorities and government as new information is released.
