KILDONAN PLACE & GRANT PARK GIVE SANTA AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT
Primaris Malls Sponsor Winnipeg Santa Parade Float
WINNIPEG – Kildonan Place (KP) and Grant Park Shopping Centre have come together to help give Santa Claus a new ride at this year’s Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade – the malls are supporting the parade’s fundraising efforts to build a new float to entertain more than 60,000 attendees at this year’s holiday parade.
“When we heard about the need to build a new float for Santa, we jumped at the opportunity,” said Corey Quintaine, Marketing Manager for both malls. “Grant Park and KP have been a part of Winnipeggers’ happy holiday memories for decades, and we are excited to be a part of the Santa Claus Parade’s community legacy.”
With the malls’ donation of $6,250, Kildonan Place’s name will be etched into Santa’s sleigh for decades to come, and Grant Park’s name will be on one of his trusty reindeer. Managed by Primaris Management Inc., a division of H&R REIT., the malls have been a part of the parade’s pre-event street parties for the last two years.
“We could not be more excited to have Kildonan Place and Grant Park on board as float sponsors,” said Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade Director, Monica Derksen. “Winnipeg is known for its generosity and it is through strong partnerships that our community thrives. We have our fingers crossed that other local businesses join Primaris, helping the 109-year-old tradition continue for generations to come.”
As part of the sponsorship, Primaris properties will be working with parade management on additional activities and partnerships. The float will make its public debut at the 109th Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade on November 17th at 5:00pm.
“We are thrilled Kildonan Place and Grant Park will be a part of this Winnipeg Christmas tradition for years to come,” said Quintaine. “With the parade lighting up our downtown for over a century, it feels great to contribute to this outstanding holiday event and Santa Claus himself. Kildonan Place and Grant Park extend a challenge to other malls and community-minded companies to join in supporting this 109th historic free event for Winnipeg children of all ages.”
